How To Use Our Shopping Cart
|
|
To use our shopping cart, simply add the items you require while browsing the product pages.
When you're done, use the "View Cart" button to check the cart contents before
using the "Secure Checkout" button to go through the checkout on our secure server.
All orders are securely encrypted for your safety and peace of mind. Credit card details are
further encrypted at our end for your total security.

Freight Charges
|
We deliver order to almost all areas of Australia (even coastal islands) as long
as there's a postal or courier service available to your area.
The freight charge for your order is based on the size and weight of the order as
well as the delivery method. These charges are not listed at checkout time as we
manually choose the best value method for each order. They will be shown on
the second emailed order confirmation you receive. Some examples are:
Small Items:
- Under 500g (Australia Wide): Red Post Bag $7 (slower & no tracking)
- Under 500g (Australia Wide): Express Post Bag $9
- Under 3kg (Australia Wide): Express Post Bag $12
Medium Items:
- Under 3kg (Australia Wide): Express Post $15
- Under 5kg (Australia Wide): Express Post $22
Large Items:
- Brisbane Metro: Courier $12 (up to 25kg)
- Most of QLD, NSW, ACT: Courier $12 (+ $4 per 5kg over the first 5kg)
- Most of VIC, S): Courier $16.50 (+ $4 per 5kg over the first 5kg)
- WA & NT: Usually sent via TNT Road service (often around $30 - $55)
The AVD team is into recycling, so a lot of orders are packed using some materials
(bubble wrap, etc) that have been used before. We hate to waste your money on pretty
white boxes. We'd rather keep the packaging costs down and pass those savings on to you!
Please note that goods sent via Australia Post (regular or express) are sent at
the purchaser's own risk, as insurance is not available on these freight methods.
That said, it is rare for goods we send this way to go missing or arrive damaged.
Also please note that aerosol products (cleaning sprays, etc) are not able to be sent
via Australia Post. These items must be sent via road transport to a street address,
not a PO box.

Payment Methods We Accept

We accept Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Diners and JCB cards via our new secure checkout.
You are welcome to phone or fax your card details though if you prefer.
Payment via these credit cards as well as EFTPOS and cash is available in-store.
(A 2% surcharge applies for AMEX, Diners and JCB cards however)
Cheques are accepted but goods collection / shipping is subject to clearance which may take up to a week.
You may also pay via direct deposit (ask for bank details) or an Australia Post money order.

Schools & Government Departments
|
|
We welcome official orders (via post, fax or email) from schools and government
departments and extend a 30 day courtesy account to those institutions.
AVD is also a QBuild supplier for the South Coast, Brisbane Metro
and Sunshine Coast areas.

Visit Us In Person
|
|
Customers are welcome to visit our store in Capalaba. We are a real store with an actual
street address and under cover parking. We don't hide behind a PO box! We also have full
workshop facilities (staffed by real technicians) to deal with both warranty and non
warranty repairs, as well as any custom electronics you may require. Please feel free
to contact us for advice both before and after your purchase, as we are technically
minded people with a passion for all things electronic. We aim to provide the products
and solutions that are right for you!
